In fact, I like "what the future brings," as a paraphrase of the original, but I'm not sure fundamentals remain unchanged. Basically, the human body fleet, but not so tight, if one is swimming, and control voltage in a particular way. How are the fundamentals that change depending on what you are trying to do. No grammatical changes are made. But the quote is actually "No matter what the future holds ..."

Review of Jamie S is true, but so what? The content of the sentence is meaningless because it is redundant and banal. If things have not changed, which means that past, present and future, is redundant to the first part of the record - no need to mention it.
